07 to 11 March: Visibility of Madagascar thanks to the International Tourism Fair of Berlin
From 07 to 11 March 2018, the 52nd edition of the ITB International Tourism Fair in Berlin, a strategic platform of the sector, saw the participation of 10,000 tourism companies from 186 countries and regions, about 80% of the exhibitors come from abroad of which Madagascar.
February 08th: Dialogue of African Ambassadors with German companies
Three representatives of the Embassy of Madagascar attended this event organized each two years by the Association for Africa of the German Economy "Afrika Verein" and the Initiative for Sub-Saharan Africa "SAFRI". Dialogue is a real platform for economic exchanges with German companies established or planning to invest in Africa.
26th edition of the international trade show "Fruit Logisitica 2018" at the Berlin Mess 07-09 February
Representatives of the Embassy of Madagascar participated with pleasure in the opening ceremony of the international trade show "Fruit Logisitica" in Berlin on February 6th. January 26: Visit of the Madagascar exhibitor at the "International Grüne Woche IGW" fair
9, is the number of times that Madagascar has participated in IGW-Berlin thanks to the dynamic and competent team of Mrs. Lalasoa Ralalarivelo, manager of "Madaspice, business specialised in Malagasy spices and crafts". The cruise ship AIDA AURA accosted Madagascar on January 18th of this year, thus marked the beginning of the cruise-season.

First Civil Wedding of the Year Celebrated at the Embassy : Andriamanankasina Maminantenaina José Emilson et Rabarijaona Sitraka.
The Embassy welcomed the celebration by the Chargé d’affaires a.i Rafaramalala sp. Ratsimba Florence Isabelle, of the first civil wedding of the year on January 19th.
The young couple: Andriamanankasina Maminantenaina José Emilson and Rabarijaona Sitraka, marked their eternal commitment, following the Malagasy culture "toy ny lamban'akoho ka faty no isarahana" (marriage contract lasts till death, like the feathers of a chicken), by signing the official register of civil status, along with the witnesses.
January 18th: Opening of the "International Grüne Woche IGW" fair
Madagascar, along with other diplomatic Missons in Berlin, took an active part in the opening of the "International Green week" on 18th January. The ceremony, grand in itself, reflects a marriage of high technology, aesthetics and challenges of our time. January 18th, 2018: Tributes to the former President of the Bundestag, Dr. Philipp Jenninger in Berlin
Respectful and worthy tributes of his greatness were rendered to the former President of the Bundestag from 1984 to 1988, Dr. Philipp Jenninger, no less a known personality of the diplomatic circle. Madagascar shares the pain and the loss of this great Statesman.
Condolences to the President-in- Office of the Bundestag by the Chargé d’affaires a.i. has been presented. The reception by his predecessor of the President of the Republic of Madagascar last year was recalled. He welcomed this visit.
16th January 2018 in Berlin: New Year Reception given by the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation
As usual, the FES invites all the diplomatic missions of the countries of its representation for a new-year reception. Representatives of the Embassy of Madagascar responded favorably to this honor.
In his speech, the President of the FES thanked each country for allowing them to work effectively on the ground to share the values defended by the Foundation since its creation more than 90 years ago namely: Freedom, Social Justice, Human Rights and Democracy. Read more...
