Participation of the General Herilanto Raveloharison, Minister of Economy and Planning at the German-African Business Summit and 15th International Forum on Africa from 7 to 9 September, 2015 in Berlin

As part of his participation in the German-African Business Summit Sept. 8, 2015 organized by the German economy Initiative for Southern Africa "SAFRI", the Minister of Economy and Planning has highlighted the considerable potential of Madagascar in the fields of tourism, natural resources, mining, renewable energy. He invites the German companies renowned by their expertise to invest in Madagascar.

On September 9, 2015, the 15th International Economic Forum on Africa OECD held in Berlin under the German Presidency of the G7 brought together several eminent personalities including HE John Mahama Dramani, President of Ghana, Dr. Gerd Müller, German Federal Minister of Cooperation and Development, Mr Kofi Annan, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, President of the Africa Progress Panel, President of the Kofi Annan Foundation, and Mr. Horst Köhler, former President of the Germany, member of the High Level Group on post 2015 development program.

The main theme of this forum is the place of Africa in the world versus new Sustainable Development Goals, the Minister intervened as a panelist in the session on "Climate Change and Agricultural Transformation in Africa "alongside SE Annick Girardin, Minister of State Development and Francophonie (France). The negative impacts of climatic changes on Madagascar's economy and ways to address them were outlined by the Minister during his speech.

Finally, in addition to these two main conferences, the Malagasy delegation led by the Minister had a meeting with Mr Thomas Silberhorn, member of the Federal German Parliament and State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry of Cooperation and Development in which was discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
