Meeting between African diplomats and stackholders of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Berlin DIHK November 17, 2017

On the initiative of the Berlin DIHK, the representatives of the African Embassies of Berlin, including Madagascar, attended this meeting with affluent information and exchanges to better understand the work of the Chambers of Commerce not only at the federal and Länder level, but also at level cooperation with those abroad and thus be more effective in private partnership research approaches.

DIHK, with its 156 years of experience, is a trusted network of more than half a million multi-sectored member companies. Five fields deemed important for the development in Africa were raised up namely: dual education and training, energy and natural resources, women's entrepreneurship, and start-ups and digitization. Successful exchanges according to those themes were discussed in order to better identify the needs of the participating countries.

The representative of the German Federal Ministry highlighted Germany's vision as the G20 Presidency. The themes of peace, immigration, security and investment were at the center of his presentation, with particular support for sustainable development in Africa during and after the Presidency.
