KE NA KO AFRIKA FESTIVAL in Berlin - Alexanderplatz from 2 to 12 June 2016
The Embassy was represented at the official opening of the 5th Festival KE NA KO, on June the 03rd in Berlin - Alexanderplatz. This event highlighting all Africa facets wants to be a best way and an edifying symbol with a view to make known to Germans and the world the cultural diversity of this continent full of potential and prospects.
Promotional stands, workshops, discussions on current topics, African concerts are scheduled.
During his speech, the organizer of the festival wanted to overcome prejudices that pictures or stories in the media broadcast on the African continent. He was keen to highlight the cultural, demographic and economic wealth of African countries.
The representative of the Ministry of Cooperation and Development, meanwhile, stressed the government's commitment in supporting innovative initiatives for a sustainable development and a world of peace on the African continent.
According to the Dean of the African Union, HE Houadja Leon Adom Kacou, Ambassador of the Côte d‘Ivoire, the Diaspora serves as ties between Africa and Europe. It is also an evidence that Africa is an opened continent, in unison with other countries.
Madagascar participates in this Africa‘s promotion through the holding of two stands of crafts and spices (LIANA creation and MadaSpice). The cultural performance of the Malagasy talented artist Abdou Day, reggae rhythm, dazzled the audience on the evening of June 4.
The festival lasts 10 days: from 2 to 12 June
