Celebration of the week of the Francophonie – March 2017
This year again, the Centre Francais de Berlin welcomed the visitors of the sunshine day of Francophonie on April 1st with the presence of about thirty embassies and the French-speaking delegation of Berlin.

Shortcut to Madagascar November 11th, 2016 – Eiszeit Kino Berlin
The convivial and warm evening event of the Malagasy short films at the Eiszeit Kino in Berlin highlighted the know-how of young Malagasy filmmakers in the realization of short films.
Nine screenings of about ten minutes, from animation, science fiction to parody have fascinated the audience. They reflect the real life in Madagascar.
Delicanto, culinary and cultural get together of the world at KPM (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur) Berlin from 2 to 3 July 2016
About 50 embassies including Madagascar participated in this annual event initiated by the city of Berlin and member of the German Parliament. During 2 days, visitors could appreciate the healthy culinary worldwide at the heart of Berlin. Each country has its specific culinary . Opening of the FESTIVAL INTERFILM in Berlin November 10, 2015
As usual, the Embassy was represented at the opening of the 31st edition of the short film festival that gained an international reputation for over 20 years. This event which lasts from 10 to 15th November 2015 represents about 7000 spectators in more than 130 countries with approximately 65 programs that emphasize international short films.

Congratulations to Olivier Razafimanhandry for his success in sports academic high-level training provided by one of the best German sports university, "University of Leipzig."
The program set up 50 years ago, allowed Olivier Razafimanhandry, the 15th Malagasy selected, to benefit from the German expertise in terms of disabled training from March to July 2015. The aim is the multiplication of acknowledgments via the networks of alumni worldwide.
Visit of the school class"Erick Kästner-Grundschule" at the Embassy September 1, 2014
Once again, on September 1st, 2014, the Embassy of Madagascar opened its door, to a classroom held in Falkensee "Erick -Kästner Grundschule" as part of the 20th anniversary of the State of Havelland.
To this end, a dozen students aged 10 years accompanied by their teacher, the school principal and some parents were able to discover the richness of Madagascar and habits of Malagasy children in everyday life and in school, through a series of questions and answers, a report on Madagascar and an invitation to taste small children sweets (candy tamarins, coconut, the banana cake...).
Culinary and cultural days “Delicanto 20-22 June 2014” at the “Schloss Diedersdorf”
An international picnic called "Delicanto" organized by the Berlin City Foundation and a member of the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development was held from 20 to 22nd, June 2014 at the castle Diesdersdof. This event allowed around 50 Embassies to promote their culinary and cultural diversity to Berliners and its surroundings in a relaxed atmosphere and a cosmopolitan world.

International day of the Francophonie in Berlin on March 13th, 2013
The traditional “fête de la Francophonie” was held in Berlin Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 in the premises of the International Cultural Center modernized UfaFabrik, in Berlin.
This cultural event organized by embassies and delegations of member countries of the Francophonie in Berlin, was this year under the co-chairmanship of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Germany, the Delegation of the German-speaking Community, the Walloon and Federation Wallonia-Brussels, and the Embassy of Haiti in Germany.
This festival is part of the activities organized every year in many countries around March 20 to mark the International Day of the Francophonie.
The 2013 edition was held in Berlin on the theme "Tell me the Francophonie." 25 embassies and delegations presented several aspects of their artistic and cultural creation. The evening ended on a high note with a concert by Haitian and Belgium music.
This year, the Embassy of Madagascar has renewed its participation. On this occasion, the Embassy presented a short film about the treasures of endemic flora and fauna of Madagascar. The whole team of the Embassy was also mobilized to prepare culinary specialties of the country. Given the affluence that has not waned throughout the evening, the Malagasy buffet met a great success with the audience.
Story of the United Big Band Group trip in Madagascar
The jazz group composed of 14 talented young German students made a trip to Madagascar from 14 to 23 June 2012. This travel is within the scope of the association "Ny Hary" Miarinarivo, a cultural exchange program between German and Malagasy young people.
Concerts in collaboration with some malagasy artists have been held at Ambositra, then at the Villa Berlin (Embassy of Germany) and to finish, a great festival "Jazz Tohatohabato" at the center of the capital Antananarivo, near Goethe Institute.
On 30 August 2012, at the school Arndt Dahlem, students reported with natural and spontaneity their wealth stay. Indeed, they were impressed by the warm welcome reserved for us during their travel. They also explored the rainforest of Ranomafana, visited villagers in their household (Miarinarivo).
The association "Ny Hary" at Miarinarivo taught them malagasy songs that you can enjoy with nostalgy one of them:
The journey of this musical group sponsored by the former Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier was supported by the Embassy from preparation up to its realization.
„Sommerfest“ in Banden-Baden am 22. July 2012
Der Verein «Vakoka Vakiteny», spezialisiert auf die Veröffentlichung von in madagassischer Sprache übersetzten Kinderbüchern, hat an der berühmtesten Straße Baden-Badens, der Lichtentaler Allee, an einer besonderen Afrikaveranstaltung teilgenommen, bei der Madagaskar Partnerland war.
Die Geschäftsträgerin a.i. der madagassischen Botschaft in Berlin, Frau Léa Raholinirina hat die Veranstaltung durch ihren Besuch beehrt, die von Frau Schelshorn vom Verein und den Inhabern der Buchhandlung „Max und Moritz" gemeinsam organisiert worden war.
Die Geschäftsträgerin eröffnete die Veranstaltung mit einer Ansprache, in welcher sie die Wichtigkeit der Bildung betonte.
Um für die Vorzüge von Madagaskar zu werben, hatte der Verein «Vakoka Vakiteny» einen Informationsstand errichtet, an dem auch kunstgewerbliche Artikel zum Verkauf angeboten werden. Dort konnte auch ein Mittagessen mit madagassischen kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten genossen werden.
