Great success of the event: “Madagascar in Berlin”,
A brief change of atmosphere with tropical fragrances in the gray Berlin! Doné Andriambaliha, master of the valiha, presented several aspects of traditional music from the Big Island. He was accompanied by talented musicians and dancers. Several stalls were opened to the public with information on travel, crafts and investment opportunities. Travel agency M'Ray Tours and Prolog Company exhibited their products.
The highlight of the evening was the buffet jointly cooked by chefs from the hotel and from the embassy and which included typical Malagasy dishes like ravitoto and pork, prawns with green pepper and chicken in coconut. Spices such as vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and lychees were used in several other dishes. The Steigenberger Hotel, a prestigious five-star hotel located in downtown Berlin, is renowned for its policy of environmental protection which converges with tourism policy in Madagascar. The event was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Madagascar in Berlin, in partnership with the National Office of Tourism and Air Madagascar.
