Lychees Exhibited At Berlin's Summit of Fresh Products
90000 m2 for 2,302 exhibitors- 53,000 visitors and 71 countries: significant figures illustrate the scope of Fruit Logistica 2010, held in Berlin, February 3-5. It is definitely the world's leading trade fair for fresh produce industry: this
event presented the full spectrum of products and logistics services offered by all stakeholders in the production.

Key criteria determining the success were its international character, the attendance of top decision-makers, and the high level decision-making authority of the industry representatives. Exhibitors and trade visitors alike commended the excellent contacts to wholesalers and retailers, fruit and vegetable growers, and to importers and exporters.
Madagascar participated for the third consecutive year, through the Group of Lychee Exporters, GEL. European customers are getting used to this exotic fruit. Lychees from Madagascar are the first to hit the market during the
Christmas seasons. However, competition remains fierce, as other countries are treading on.
Fruit Logistica is an opportunity for members of GEL to maintain contacts with buyers who have already distributed lychees in several European countries. But it is mainly a platform for establishing contacts with new customers beyond the European market. The aim is that other agricultural products from Madagascar
can be presented in the next edition. Photos Fruit Logistica
