Presentation of the Childbook's project "Vakoka Vakiteny" in BĂĽhl, Gernsbach and Baden-Baden

VakokaAm 15.On the 15 and 16(th) of July 2010, the NGO "Eine-Welt-Verein e.V Keniahilfe based in Bühl / Neusatz in collaboration with the School of Albert Schweitzer Gymnasium in Gernsbach and the Library" Max und Moritz "in Baden-Baden initiated the story books for children entitled "Vakoka Vakiteny", published in Madagascar since 2007. Mrs Lea Raholinirina Chargé d'Affaires a.i and Mrs Brigitte Rasoanirina, Counsellor, honored with their presence the presentation of these books managed by young authors, Sophia-Küspert Rakotondrainy, Mparany Rakotondrainy and Tojosoa Raherinirainy in three localities of Baden-Württemberg's area.

With over one million customers, the Caisse d'Epargne de Madagascar CEM is the oldest financial institution and the most important provider of basic, pro-poor saving products in Madagascar.


Together with Hamburger Sparkasse, Sparkassenstiftung fĂĽr Internationale Kooperation has been supporting CEM since mid-2006 within the scope of partenership project.


In spite of the domestic troubles and in particular in social unrest, the Sparkassenstiftung keeps on conducting since mid-2009, assignments based on such thematic priority areas as :

Madagaskar-Wochenende im Palmengarten - Frankfurt

Madagaskar-Palmengarten FrankfurtAm 17. und 18. Juli 2010 war Madagaskar mit den Wundern seiner Natur Thema einer Gastveranstaltung im Palmengarten in Frankfurt. Der Palmengarten zählt zu den bekanntesten Botanischen Gärten Deutschlands. Diese Veranstaltung war für die zahlreich gekommenen und sehr interessierten Besucher eine Gelegenheit, die vielfältigen und ausschließlich auf Madagaskar heimischen Pflanzen zu entdecken und den Ökotourismus für Madagaskar zu fördern.

Auch die regionalen Medien haben über diese Veranstaltung berichtet. Es gab im Tropicarium Stände von Air Madagaskar sowie Reiseveranstaltern wie Krebs Reisen, Island4more, Travel and Personality, Chili Reisen, Take off Reisen, Meier's Weltreisen und einen Stand mit madagassischem Kunstgewerbe, der von einem aktiven Mitglied der madagassischen Gemeinschaft in Deutschland betreut wurde. Der WWF hat mit einem Informationsstand auf die dringende Notwendigkeit des Schutzes unserer natürlichen Reichtümer hingewiesen.

Logo 50èmeSolidarity in hope: Malagasy community in Germany celebrated the 50th anniversary of Independence

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Independence, the Embassy of Madagascar in Berlin offered a reception in Falkensee. Friends and partners from Berlin, Brandbourg and several other regions answered positively to this invitation. Some guests even came from neighboring countries such as Denmark and Austria. Representatives from businesses and non-governmental organizations working in Madagascar attended and expressed their solidarity with the Malagasy people in these historical moments.

50th Anniversary Sports Tournament

Berlin den 22. Mai 2010"Solidarity in Hope" - is the theme chosen for the celebrations which marked the opening of the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Madagascar.
The Malagasy community in Germany participated in a sport tournament held at Sports Complex Siemenstadt (Berlin) on Saturday, May 22. Participants competed in football, table tennis, pétanque and basketball. Teams from Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and from other nationalities joined the tournament.
