The Malagasy cultural event “ MADPARTY”, organized by SAKAIZA Association (https://sakaiza2.webnode.at/ ) in collaboration with the City of Vienna Integration and Diversity (MA17) and with the support of the Malagasy community in Austria, took place on Saturday, February 11, 2023. The guests of honour of this event were Mrs. Hanta Ramahazosoa, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Madagascar in Berlin, and Mr. David Beraha, representative of the City of Vienna Integration and Diversity, Mrs. Kira Höfenstock, District Councillor 23rd District. During this event, the association SAKAIZA and the Malagasy community showed the Malagasy culture, through different Malagasy dishes, traditional Malagasy dances, malagasy fashion show and Malagasy handicrafts, which were offered as raffle prizes. Other raffle prizes were provided by Ethiopian Airlines (https://www.ethiopianairlines.com/at/home-page ), which has been an important partner of the SAKAIZA association since its foundation in 2019, and by various sponsors, including Schani Hotel (https://www.schanihotels.com/en/hotels/hotel-schani-wien ) near the Central Train Station in Vienna, which granted vouchers for a breakfast buffet for two, the Leopold Museum (https://www.leopoldmuseum.org/en ) and the Museum of Military History (https://www.hgm.at/en ), which also provided vouchers and fashion designer Ronald Lanor (https://www.ronaldlanor.com/ ) who offered 2 Ronald Lanor handbags. According to the President of SAKAIZA Association, Katiuscia NDRIVA ELIANA, “they received many compliments and thankful and positive feedbacks from their enthusiastic and satisfied guests who were very impressed by the teamwork of the Malagasy community and especially by the Malagasy buffet. We showed at this event what a “Fihavanana Malagasy” (in English: Malagasy solidarity) looks like. Some Malagasy friends from Slovakia, Italy and the Czech Republic also supported us at this event “, she said.  The association SAKAIZA thanks its partners and sponsors for their trust, the Malagasy community for their teamwork, and without exception all the guests who came in such large numbers and honoured the event with their presence.
